Project Summary

V&D Interiors Ltd was appointed by RG Group to deliver the internal drylining and ceiling packages for the prestigious Avon Point student accommodation development in Bristol.

Located within Bristol’s Temple Quarter regeneration area, the Feeder Road Scheme provides high-quality purpose-built student accommodation designed to support modern student living. The development comprises four interconnected buildings, including a five-storey commercial building alongside residential buildings ranging from seven to fourteen storeys, creating a landmark development within the city.

The completed scheme delivers over 600 student bedrooms together with communal social spaces, study areas, incubator workspaces, roof terraces and supporting commercial facilities.

Our Scope of Works

V&D Interiors successfully delivered a comprehensive internal package including:

• Metal stud partition systems
• Shaftwall and fire-rated partition installations
• Tape & joint finishing throughout
• Suspended ceiling systems across residential and communal areas
• Bulkheads and feature ceiling details
• Coordination with mechanical and electrical services to ensure programme efficiency

Our works were completed over a 43-week programme while maintaining quality standards and supporting the main contractor in achieving key programme milestones.

Challenges

The scale and complexity of the development presented several challenges:

• Coordinating multiple work fronts across buildings of varying heights
• Maintaining programme on a fast-paced, high-density student accommodation project
• Delivering consistent quality across hundreds of bedrooms and extensive communal areas
• Close collaboration with other trades to minimise programme clashes and maintain productivity

Through proactive planning, effective site management and strong communication with RG Group, these challenges were successfully managed throughout the project.

The Avon Point development has become one of Bristol’s significant purpose-built student accommodation schemes, providing modern living and collaborative spaces for students within the city’s expanding education quarter.
