This project was described as one of Stepnell’s “most challenges sites to date”. The scheme consisted of installing the SFS framework, cladding with a weather defense board and finishing with a brick tie channel and insulation to three blocks of student accommodation. It was described as one of the most complex jobs taken on by Stepnell based upon “the unusual dimensions of the 11-metre-wide site and its proximity to the city’s canal”. With the potential problems of such a logically challenging project, we were very pleased that Stepnell had the confidence to trust us with such an important scheme.
