V&D Interiors provide plastering apprenticeships for individuals to learn and become a skilled plasterer. No prior experience is necessary, full training will be provided to give each individual the skills and knowledge to work on their own and within a team. All that is required is an eagerness to learn.

V&D Interiors provides Shropshire’s only plastering apprenticeship. This apprenticeship will train you to become a plasterer and provides you with a solid foundations to start a career in plastering.

What is a plasterer?

A plasterer is a skilled trade person who applies plaster to walls to create a smooth flat finish Plaster has been used of thousands of years and was used by both the Egyptians and Romans. Qualified tradesmen are in high demand with plastering one of the oldest and skilled trades in the construction industry.

What happens after the apprenticeship?

After you complete your apprenticeship you will be able to work as a plasterer. You will also have further career options if you wanted such as site supervisor, site manager, contracts manager and project manager.

What age can I start an apprenticeship?

We accept apprentices aged 16 years and above.

How much does it pay?

We pay our apprentices in accordance with national guidelines. If you’re under 19 or in the first year of your apprenticeship you will be paid the Apprentice rate and thereafter we pay National Minimum Wage which increases annually on 1st April.

How is the apprenticeships delivered?

We offer a 2 year apprenticeship which combines a mixture of on-site training and classroom training in our in house facility based in Telford.

What are your expectations?

We expect our apprentices to be committed to the apprenticeship and prepared to work hard and always act in a polite and positive manor. Plasterers start onsite early due to setting times of the materials.
