Roade Primary School consisted of a refurbishment of the existing school and a construction of a new building. The refurbishment was split across 5 different sections of the building and the new building consisted of 8 classrooms split across 2 storeys.
V & D Interiors carried out the installation of the acoustic wall panels, partitioning, drylining. plastering, tape and jointing and suspended ceiling.
This refurbishment of the existing school consisted of working in live environments of the school so we had to work closely with the Client to minimum the noise whilst carrying out works.
For the new build area, the client wanted to ensure the finishes in the classrooms offered both an excellent visual appearance and high level of acoustic absorption. This was achieved by installing Soundsorba acoustic panels to the walls and British Gypsum Quattro 41 panels to the ceilings.
