V & D interiors are very pleased to announce we have secured another student accommodation scheme.
We will be installing the internal partitions, Metsec framing and suspended ceilings at The Tannery in Shrewsbury in a combine package worth near £400,000. The Tannery will be a new 4 storey 54 bedroom student accommodation block providing high quality living spaces for students.
V & D interiors were chosen to carry out this project by Morris Property based upon our solid track record of delivering student accommodation projects.
The partitions and ceilings will follow on from the successful installation of the Metsec framing system, where we have installed 1100m2 of Metsec framing and British Gypsum Glassroc X Board.
The Glassroc X board is a new product by British Gypsum which is an alternative to a traditional sheathing board. This is one of the first major installations of the product in the UK and British Gypsum will be doing a case study regarding our installation on this project later in the year.
The Glassroc X boards special formulated Gypsum core ensures it can provide the same weather resistant features as a sheathing board but with all the added benefits of a gypsum core. The benefits of a gypsum core means the boards are lighter and can be scored and snapped like traditional plasterboard which leads to a faster installation time onsite.
