London House Phase 3 consisted of 105 Bedroom Student Accommodation in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, within less than half a mile from Staffordshire University.
Phase 3 was given to us after the successful completion of Phase 1 and 2 which consisted of 196 bedrooms. On this phase V & D Interiors carried out the installation of the SFS framing, sheathing board, partitioning, drylining, suspended ceilings and Tape and Joint finish.
We worked in partnership with Hadley Steel framing to design, supply and install the infill SFS which was circa 1200m2. The external walls on previous phases where constructed using timber framing, but changing the external wall to SFS on this phase offered our client both a commercial and time saving.
Following the completion of the SFS framing we then clad this with a sheathing board. Once the building was then water tight we then commenced the partition, drylining and metal framed ceiling using Siniat plasterboards on a Protektor metal. The plasterboard’s were then finished with a tape and joint finish. All corridors were finished with a Sektor LIG suspended ceiling.
