Dagfa House is a 227 bedroom student accommodation located within walking distance of the University of Nottingham. This scheme is split between three blocks of accommodation, two 4 storey blocks and one 5 storey block.
This scheme consisted of clusters with four bedrooms per cluster with shared bathroom facilities. We form acoustic party walls between each unit and finished off the rooms with a plasterboard ceiling and skim finish. Corridor areas were finished with LIG Ceilings.
Due to the nature of this project we had to pre load each cluster out prior to commencement of works.
We worked in partnership with Siniat and the client to to design the internal walls and ceilings to ensure they achieve all acoustic ratings whilst offering the most cost effective system.
